LOST CAMO BOW RESTS PART II
BY TRACY BREEN
QAD CUSTOM ULTRA REST HDX
Quality Archery Designs has taken their rest design to the next level by offering the Ultra Rest HDX in custom models that are made to fit Mathews bows perfectly. The Custom Mathews model comes with a built-in Harmonic Damper and has the Mathews logo on the rest. Like the original HDX models, the custom models have all the features of the QAD line including Lock Down Technology which ensures the launcher doesn’t bounce back after the shot. Advanced Vibration Technology makes the rest noise free and the QAD thumb wheel makes cocking the rest easy. The rest comes with an easy-to-adjust timing cord.
TROPHY TAKER SMACKDOWN PRO ANGLED SLOT
Trophy Taker revolutionized the archery industry years ago when they introduced one of the first drop-away rests. They now offer the SmackDown Pro Angled Slot. The rest cable can be set up to attach to a bow limb so the limb drives the rest or it can be set up in a more traditional way by being attached to the upward or downward moving cable. So regardless of a shooters’ preference, the SmackDown Pro can handle the job. This rest has built-in dampeners and a silent coating so the rest is silent.
NEW ARCHERY PRODUCTS APACHE ARROW REST
New Archery Products introduced the original Apache Arrow Rest several years ago and updated it recently. Now it is available in Lost Camo. The Apache has a side loading slot which makes loading arrows quick and easy. This drop-away arrow rest has a rubberized coating on the inside of the arrow cage that virtually eliminates any noise that could be caused by the arrow hitting the side of the ring when loading the rest.
